On every side.

Commonplace___Enigma,

Innocuous___Alarming.

Why must significance be

Thrust upon all things?

Can't anything exist

In the knowledge

It has no meaning?

Or is that a requirement

For existence?

Words, sounds collected

On the paper or screen,

Arbitrary collections

Of shapes and sounds

With implications placed upon them

Shape the world, instead of reality

Fashioning them.
